The plum variety Joio originated in Germany, was created in 1981 by Dr. Walter Hartmann and is a cross between Ortenauer and Stanley. This plum variety is very popular because of the high yield and is the first variety in the world completely sustainable to pox and fungal diseases. The fruits are appreciated as they are a source of organic acids, pectin, tanning substances, minerals and vitamins. They are suitable for consumption, drying, preserved in syrup and of course for production of plum rakia.
Every bottle of Yoyo plum variety rakia is manually produced. We are recommending the drink to be consumed at a room temperature.
